• Steak and Lobster Special
  During February's weekends, Jerry's Famous Coffee Shop is serving Steak and Lobster for the price of $13.89. For $2.00 less, diners can opt out on the steak and have lobster. The meal comes with choice of soup or salad, homemade French bread or garlic bread and side accompaniments of either mashed potatoes, French Fries or rice. Along with the chosen side dish, the main entrée is served with a New York Steak strip, grilled to order along with a juicy lobster tail, steamed to perfection. Get the Steak and Lobster special from 12 noon on Fridays and all day Saturdays and Sundays at Jerry's Famous Coffee Shop. In addition, Jerry's Famous Coffee Shop diners can also get the Steak and Shrimp special. The special began in January and will continue running throughout February for the price of $6.85.
  
  
• Heart Pizzas at Uncle Angelo's Pizza Joint
  Who says Valentine's Day is for kids only? Adults can have their fair share of the fun and excitement of celebrating love by getting a heart-shaped pizza. From February 9 till February 15, dine in at Uncle Angelo's Pizza Joint and get a heart-shaped pizza for $13, which comes with two traditional toppings. Uncle Angelo's Pizza Joint is open from 11am to 11pm, Tuesday to Friday; 12pm to 11pm on Saturday; and 12pm to 8pm on Sunday and Monday.
  
  
• Happy Hour at The Main Bar
  There's a new place to hang out for Happy Hour and that's The Main Bar at Jerry's Nugget Casino. The menu has revamped its offerings to include popular finger foods and drink specials surely to please all guests. Happy Hour is from 3pm to 7pm, every week Monday to Friday. Food items include: Chicken Wings ($6), Taquitos ($6), Basket of Fries ($3), Sliders ($7), Turkey Torpedo ($6). Happy Hour drink specials consist of $1 Well Drinks and Drafts, $5 Bud and Bud Light Pitchers (guests get to keep the pitcher) and premium tequila shots of Cuervo Gold, El Jimador and Cuervo 1800 for $2 each shot. As a bonus, Happy Hour guests receive a 16 ounce Draft Beer free with the purchase any $6 food item off the menu. For those up in the wee hours, The Main Bar will also host After Hours Specials from 11pm to 7am everyday. The More Club March Madness Giveaway allows guests to become instant winners of cash, dining and shopping prizes with only 100 points to earn. Plus, guests can indulge on their favorite pizzas and pastas at Uncle Angelo's Pizza Joint for half off when paying with comp on Comp Discount Days. • More Club March Madness Giveaway
  Earn and score is the name of the game during the More Club March Madness Giveaway.   Jerry's Nugget introduces Comp Discount Days held in Uncle Angelo's Pizza Joint. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays in March, from 3pm to 11pm, dine-in guests can enjoy all menu items for only half off when paying with comp. To take advantage of the 50-percent discount, guests must have a $5 comp balance on their More Club account and will need to go to the More Club Kiosk to receive a comp discount ticket to take to Uncle Angelo's Pizza Joint. A minimum purchase of $10 (without discount applied) is required. Uncle Angelo's Pizza Joint is open from 11am to 11pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  
  
• Cash Bonus on Saint Patrick's Day
  Club cards equal cash bonuses on Wednesday, March 17 - Saint Patrick's Day. Quarter and video poker players who receive a Royal Flush in clubs will be paid an additional bonus of $500 cash on top of their jackpot winning. Hit a Straight Flush in clubs and video poker players will receive $25 in extra cash. Maximum coins must be played for both bonuses and must have More Club card inserted.

$7.89 STEAK & KING CRAB SPECIAL IS THE NEW SURF-N-TURF SPECIAL IN MARCH

Las Vegas, NV - February 24, 2010 - Jerry's Famous Coffee Shop inside Jerry's Nugget Casino makes way for a new surf-n-turf special known as Steak and King Crab. A leader in high quality food at a value price, Jerry's Famous Coffee Shop will start serving the $7.89 special beginning Monday, March 1.

The $7.89 Steak and King Crab special comes with a half pound of succulent King Crab Legs and a tender 8-ounce New York Strip Steak, grilled to order. The combo comes with choice of soup or salad, side accompaniments of rice, mashed potatoes or French fries and choice of French or garlic bread, toasted and lightly browned.

For the serious seafood fans, the King Crab platter will also be featured on the Jerry's Famous Coffee Shop menu's special starting Monday, March 1. The King Crab platter includes a full pound of King Crab Legs with accompaniments of soup or salad, rice or potato and choice of garlic or French bread. Priced at $9.89, the meal will surely be a crowd-pleaser for everyone who loves crab legs!

Both specials start March 1 and will continue till the end of March. The Steak and King Crab Special and the King Crab Special will be served all day, everyday only at Jerry's Famous Coffee Shop. Veterans of Las Vegas sports betting know the same wager can yield varying, sometimes significantly different, payouts depending on where it's placed.
That's certainly the case in football parlays, the popular form of wagering in which gamblers choose two or more games from the board and combine them into a single bet. All (or both) of the picks in the parlay must win against the point spread for the parlay to be successful.
If you're a parlay player in Las Vegas, it's important to your bankroll that you bet at a sports book that offers strong payout odds.
In the current football parlay sweepstakes, Jerry's Nugget emerges as the clear winner, offering bettors excellent odds across the board.
On two-team parlays, Jerry's Nugget pays 13 1/2-5, exceeding the standard odds of 13-5 at other Las Vegas properties.
On three-teamers, Jerry's Nugget pays 6 1/2-1, beating the industry standard of 6-1.
On four-teamers, Jerry's Nugget pays 13-1, also tops in Las Vegas. The Stratosphere/Arizona Charlie's properties and Poker Palace come close at 12-1 on four-teamers.
It's regrettable, however, that a dismal price of 10-1 remains the most common payout in Las Vegas on four-team parlays. A four-team parlay paying off at 10-1 affords the house, or casino, an estimated edge of 31 percent, making it one of the worst wagers in the realm of legal, regulated gambling. (Usually when the house advantage is that massive, it's on a long-shot prop that carries the promise of a "big score.")
Jerry's Nugget also offers the best five-team parlays in Las Vegas, paying out at 26-1.
Promotional material issued by Jerry's Nugget accurately spotlights the big difference in the bottom line its parlay odds can mean for bettors. Using a five-teamer as an example, it states: "If you placed a $100 bet on a 5-team parlay at Jerry's Nugget and your bet was a winner you would take home up to $600 more cash than you would get anywhere else."
Including the original stake of $100, the total payout on a five-teamer at 26-1 is $2,700 at Jerry's Nugget. That compares with a payout of $2,200 at Station Casinos properties (odds of 21-1) or $2,100 at Boyd/Coast or Harrah's joints (odds of 20-1) according to the Jerry's Nugget promo, which calls out those competitors by name.
Indeed, those 20-1 odds on five-teamers are the worst in town, but unfortunately the most common. You can do a little better than that at the Stratosphere/Arizona Charlie's properties (24-1) or Poker Palace (23-1).
Odds of 47-1 on six-team parlays are available at Cal-Neva joints as well as Jerry's Nugget. A price of 40-1 on six-teamers (ugh) is the worst in town, but again also the most widespread number. The Stratosphere properties and Poker Palace check in at 45-1, with Leroy's at 44-1.
Jerry's Nugget and Cal-Neva are also the best bets for seven-team parlays (92-1) and eight-team parlays (180-1). Leroy's comes close at 88-1 on seven-teamers and 175-1 on eight-teamers. Avoid the 140-1 on eight-teamers available at several joints. At 140-1, an eight-team parlay affords the house an estimated edge of 45 percent. Also avoid the 125-1 on eight-teamers at the Palms (estimated house edge: 50.8 percent). Go ahead and shoot for the big score, but be sure to play at one of the books paying 180-1.
As the promo for Jerry's Nugget correctly points out, again picking on a specific competitor: "Coast Casinos doesn't even offer 7- or 8-teamers!" (In fairness, several other casino properties don't offer them either.)
I applaud the competitive nature of this message from Jerry's. It contains an implicit challenge to rivals to improve the parlay odds and the sports betting options they offer to customers. It shows a willingness to shake up the Las Vegas sports betting scene, a business that too often feels behind the times, lacking in innovative spirit and marked by ennui.
Oh, and the exclamation point is a nice touch.
